The Arizona Department of Real Estate (ADRE) is at 100 N. 15th Ave., Suite 201, Phoenix, AZ 85007; contact it through the Message Center at azre.gov. Pearson gives the exam ((888) 405-5776 / pearsonvue.com/us/en/az/realestate.html) under the Candidate Handbook February 2026 (#090300). The DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card Section is at (602) 223-2279 / psp.azdps.gov. The governing law is A.R.S. Title 32, Chapter 20 and A.A.C. R4-28. Arizona's agency is ADRE (California's is DRE), and the vendor is Pearson (Colorado and Ohio use PSI). Pearson's page (updated July 30, 2026) states that Arizona Real Estate examinations are not available through OnVUE.

ADRE's salesperson page and A.R.S. § 32-2124(B) set the hours: 90 hours (classroom or certified distance learning, with an in-person proctored school exam) within 10 years, plus 6-hour Contract Writing within 2 years. Pearson gives 80 general items in 150 minutes for $70 and 60 state items in 90 minutes for $60, with 75% required on each and a $75 combo back to back. You need a DPS Level 1 Non-IVP card, currently $67.00. The original ADRE fee is $60, including $10 for the Recovery Fund. The license lasts two years, with 24 hours of CE including Firewise, Deed Fraud, and Arizona Water (1 hour each as of January 1, 2025). Recovery Fund caps are $30,000 per transaction and $90,000 per licensee.

The broker license requires three years of experience in the last five, 90 broker hours, BMC #1–#3, a Pearson exam of 180 questions in 315 minutes for $125 at 75%, an original fee of $145 including $20 for the Recovery Fund, and 30 hours of designated-broker CE. Out-of-state licensees use recognition, not reciprocity. Requirements from other states do not carry over: ADRE is not DRE, Pearson is not PSI, the salesperson exam is two exams, and BMC #1–#3 are Arizona clinics.
