The How to Apply page sets the education: a 90-hour salesperson course for residents and a 60-hour broker course for resident broker applicants. South Dakota's 116-hour course does not count as the 90.

PSI gives 100 national items in 150 minutes (pass 70) and 40 North Dakota items in 90 minutes (pass 30) for $134, whether you take one portion or both. The broker national portion is 90 items carrying 100 points (pass 75). There are 5–10 unscored experimental items, which count against your time. No eligibility code is needed. Upload score reports to Online Services. Fingerprints: mail two cards to NDREC with a $40 check payable to the AG; do not mail them to the AG. The credit-history fee is $13 on the costs list and $11.25 in the payment paragraph; confirm the amount when you pay.

Reciprocity is limited to three states and requires you to live in one of them. CE this cycle is 12 elective hours, with no mandatory topics, due Nov. 15. An inactive license can last indefinitely if you renew it annually. Wholesaling residential equitable interests requires this license. What sets North Dakota apart: the recovery fund is a one-time $20 payment, the only reciprocal states are Georgia, Iowa, and Minnesota, and brokers need a 60-hour broker course, not a second 90-hour course.
