Age 19. 70% course grade. Finish within one year of start; max six hours credit per day after the February/April 2025 amendments; 90% attendance. School reports the credit; Pearson emails Authorization to Test; you cannot book before that mail.

Pearson seats 80 national items in 2.5 hours and 40 Alabama items in 1 hour at a scaled 70, $73, 10–15 pretest, 3.5 hours combined. Fail the overall score and retake the entire examination inside a six-month authorization from course completion. Passing score is good 90 days. Reciprocal is six Alabama hours plus a $53 / 40-item / 1-hour state paper. Fieldprint Alabama is the print vendor — not IdentoGO, not a Georgia GCIC, and not Pearson palm vein (AREC opted out). Original this cycle is $85 (10/01/2025–09/30/2026) plus $30 Recovery Fund if first-time active. New licensees get a temporary salesperson license: 30-hour postlicense inside six months to stay active and inside twelve months or the hanging lapses and you start over.

Broker is a second 60-hour prelicense plus 24 of the last 36 months active in any state, same $73 sitting, a harder RECAD / qualifying-broker outline (5 and 6 items). CE is 15 hours: salespersons take the named 3-hour Risk Management: Initial Contact to Accepted Offer plus 12 electives; brokers take that course and the Mandatory Broker CE Course plus 9 electives. Everything expires September 30; unrenewed goes inactive October 1.
