South Carolina

South Carolina’s entry title is associate, not salesperson: Unit I 60 hours to sit PSI, Unit II 30 hours before issuance, $67 for 80 national / 120 minutes (56 to pass) plus 40 state / 80 minutes (28 to pass), under a broker-in-charge, with reciprocity only Georgia and North Carolina.

Code Ann. § 40-57-320(A)(1)(a): 60 hours of fundamentals (Unit I) and 30 hours of advanced principles (Unit II) within five years, and you may sit the exam before finishing the 30. Live associate page: apply after Unit I ($25), fingerprint after the application (SLED + FBI + SSN — not before), wait for DoNotReply@llr.sc.gov plus 48 hours, sit PSI, then Unit II, Supervision Attestation under a broker-in-charge, and the invoiced $50.

PSI bulletin updated 8/27/2026 at test-takers.psiexams.com/scre, (855) 340-3701: Associate 80/120 min + 40/80 min, 56 and 28 to pass, both portions $67 / one $59. Broker is five years of active associate licensure in seven (age 21) plus Unit IIIA 30 + IIIB 30, then 75/80-point national + 50 state at 60/36. Reciprocity is only Georgia and North Carolina. DACA cannot license. Active CE is 10 hours (4 core + 6 elective); BIC adds a 4-hour BIC course. North Carolina says provisional broker. Georgia is 75 hours. South Carolina is Unit I 60 then PSI then Unit II 30, associate title, BIC supervision.

A commission under LLR that licenses real estate associates, brokers, and brokers-in-charge. The official entry title is associate — 2024 Act 204 retired “salesperson” in Chapter 57. Unit I (60 hours, fundamentals) is what lets you sit PSI; Unit II (30 hours, advanced principles) is what LLR wants before issuance. Apply to the Commission first; PSI imports the authorization 48 hours after the eligibility email. Fingerprints are after the application, not before. Reciprocity is only Georgia and North Carolina.
